What inspired you to make a career change into this field?
I wanted something more secure, with opportunity for growth. I wrote a blog post about why I made my decision to change careers if you’d like more details.
What did you enjoy most about the CareerFoundry Web Development Program?
The flexibility. Being able to go at my own pace was great for me since I was still working part-time.
What did you enjoy about creating your CareerFoundry portfolio project?
I love design and am a very creative person. I loved taking the tools and foundation that CareerFoundry gave me to create something with my own vision. I appreciated that my portfolio gave me a strong package to use in the job search.
With regards to your new career and skills, what are your hopes for the future?
To continue to grow and learn! What I love about this career is there is never a dead end. There is always more to learn and another path to take.
Introducing her Quiz portfolio project, Teresa said:
Users are greeted with a welcome view where they can choose from several topics. Choosing a topic will take them to a quiz on that topic. Users take the quiz by selecting an answer for each question displayed. Users can view their results in a dedicated view; from there, they have the option to go back to the first view (the welcome view) and select another quiz topic.
They key features included are: Angular SPA, data binding, interpolation, and routing.
The tools involved were: Angular, TypeScript, and Angular Material.
